Pencak Silat and Freediving in Indonesia

Pencak Silat and Freediving in Indonesia

I traveled to Indonesia to study Indonesian martial arts in Bandung, Java, while also traveling extensively to practice freediving throughout the islands.

This adventure was intense and transformative. We focused mainly on Pencak Silat, searching for teachers, staying with them, and learning directly from their traditions and daily lives.

Between trainings, we traveled to small islands to freedive among rocks, coral, and colorful fish. The combination of martial arts, travel, ocean life, and Indonesian culture created an unforgettable period of learning and discovery.
