The beginnings of Diverse Dance in Eugene, Oregon deeply influenced my understanding of movement, inclusion, and communication through dance.
Being exposed to dancers and teachers from many different backgrounds expanded my perception of Contact Improvisation far beyond technique. It became a way of listening, relating, and discovering entirely new possibilities within movement and human connection.
The CI Jam in Breitenbush, Oregon was a highlight, with dancers like Nancy, Steve, K.J., Ray Chung and many others — coming together to expand, explore, dance dance dance.
